Character Remix:
In this project we were supposed to choose two characters and combine them. I chose Tiger and Dumbo and made Tumbo! In this project I learned how to use a different medium, paint. We used acrylic paint to make this piece. I learned how to mix paint and practice different ways to make it look good. I think this piece was successful because I actually liked how it turned out. Not only because its a combination of the two best cartoon characters ever, but also because you could tell what I drew and who what characters I combined. I also thought I did a pretty good job with the paint. If I did this project again, I would probably make my character a little bigger and with a little more detail. I would also try to challenge myself and make the background a little more detailed.
Water Color Project:
In this project I used watercolor to create a piece. I chose to make my novelty item out of watercolor. In this project I learned how to use water color. I learned all the different ways to give it texture and to make it look good. Even though you can't see it in this picture I used salt to add a little bit of texture. I think this piece wasn't completely successful and I could make it better. I don't think I used the water color to its fullest extent and I probably could have done a bigger piece and used the water color in different ways and textures. If I did this project again, I would defiantly paint something different and more complex. And like I said I would use the water color in the different ways and make it look cooler with the use of water color.
Daily Monster Ink Project:
In this final project I used ink to make a monster. I put droplets of ink on a piece of paper and blew on them with a straw sending the ink in different directions. I then painted the rest of the monster in with sharpie to make it look how I wanted. In this project I learned how to use the ink to make a cool art piece. At first I had no clue how we would be able to make randomly blowing ink into a piece of art. But, we did and I think it turned out cool. I think this piece was successful. I think it is a cute monster and I used the ink to be multiple parts of the monsters body. If I were to do this project again I would just make a new monster that looks completely different and I would keep making monsters and try different ways to blow the ink and different places to put it.
