Question 4:
What are some reasons why artist make art?
People make art for many, many reasons. Each of the peices I have here I made for a diffeent reason. The main reason people make art is to say something or express something. The peice that looks like a world I made to show that the world is filled with adventure and that traveling is always an adventure. The whale penguin I made to show that people keep killing endangered animals, and afterwards I blended it up to symbolize the animals deaths. The third peice of the journal page I made to express myself. It has things on it that describe who I am and my likes and dislikes. People also make art to:
-They enjoy it and it is satisfying to them.
-Express personal thoughts and feelings.
-Communicate with others.
-Make others see things from a different point of view.
-Tell a story.
-Create a more favorable enviornment.
-To persuade people.
-Explain something or why something happens.
-Amuse themselves or others.
-To make money.
-Increase understanding about a topic.

Question 8:
What was the warm up or sketchbook assignment that you learned the most from?
I learned the most from the hands sketchbook assignment. About once a week we would have a warm up in our sketchbook where we would have to draw our hands when they were making a letter in sign language. I thought this lesson was very helpful and beneficial in helping me learn to observe and draw excatly what I see. We had to look at every line and curve on our hands and draw them. I found it quite difficult at first but as I progressed my hands kept getting better and better. It also just helped me get better at drawing hands because I never really could. And I also learned to look at things from different angles and views.
